Cold Spring Harbor Superintendent to Depart

Jill Gierasch, who has served as superintendent of the Cold Spring Harbor Central School District since 2021,will retire in June.

“The Cold Spring Harbor Board of Education would like to express its sincere gratitude to Ms. Gierasch for her service to the District,” the Board of Education said. “Her hard work and her dedication to the success of all children have helped to make CSH an exemplary district of which we are very proud.”

She came to Cold Spring Harbor from the Mattituck-Cutchogue system. Before that, she worked in the Plainview-Old Bethpage district for 10 years, as both deputy superintendent and assistant superintendent of curriculum. She succeeded Robert C. Fenter, who retired.
