A Ronkonkoma man was killed Saturday morning in a crash on Vanderbilt Parkway in Commack.
Suffolk County Fourth Precinct detectives are investigating the crash that occurred about 4:40 am near Redleaf Lane. Edward Riley was driving a 2023 Chevrolet pickup truck west on Vanderbilt Parkway, near Redleaf Lane, when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Riley, 58, who was alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
