Lonardo, Rivera Top List of Tri-CYA Honorees

Tri-CYA will celebrate individuals and organizations for their work supporting young people in Huntington with a Hall of Honor on March 23.

Pastor Daniel Rivera of the Huntington Assembly of God, Eliot Lonardo of SIgnature Premier Properties, Jack & Jill of America, and the South Huntington and Huntington Public Libraries will be recognized for their contributions to the youth in the Huntington, Cold Spring Harbor and South Huntington school districts.

Larkfield Manor will host the benefit from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Lonardo has made numerous contributions to the community, donating personally and working with the South Huntington Educational Foundation, parent groups, social action, animal welfare and other activities.

Joanne Adam, director of the Huntington Library, said that the library had worked with children to encourage reading, doing outreach to those who couldn’t travel to the library and creating reading clubs.

Tri-CYA–the Tri Community and Youth Agency–provides education, crisis intervention services, culture and other support to students.
