Northport Early Childhood Program Has Some Vacancies

Northport High School’s Early Child Education program still has available openings for the Two-Year Old Toddler Program for the 2019-20 school year.

In this program, each toddler is paired with a student from Northport’s Family and Consumer Science class, where students are studying toddler development. The classroom where the program is held is specially designed with learning tools and age-appropriate toys for toddlers aged 2 through 4. The goal of the program is to introduce the children to a classroom environment, provide opportunity for them to learn to separate from their caregivers, and interact with their peers.

In order to qualify for this program, toddlers must be 2 years of age on or before Dec. 31, 2019, families must be residents of the Northport-East Northport School District, and be able to attend the program regularly.

This class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11:55 a.m.-12:25 p.m.

There is no cost for the program, and parents are responsible for their own
transportation of their child.
