Police: Custodian Arrested After Livestreaming Sex Video of Himself at School

A Half Hollow Hills school custodian was arrested after he livestreamed himself soliciting  sex and exposing himself while working at the school, Suffolk County police said Wednesday.

Arrested Tuesday evening was Thomas Winberry of West Islip, who posted the video on social media while he was working at Otsego Elementary School in Dix Hills.

Following an investigation, Special Victims Section detectives charged Winberry, 34, with Public Lewdness. He was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Special Victims Section at 631-852-6531.

The school district said  the “alleged activity occurred outside of school hours while no students were in the building, and while all evening activities were canceled due to the inclement weather. We are assisting the Suffolk County Police Department as they investigate to see if a crime was committed. The employee in question has been terminated.”
