Wanted: Handbag Thieves in Graduation Outfits

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are asking for the public’s help finding two men who stole merchandise from a Walt Whitman Shops business.

Two males, both dressed in graduation caps and gowns, stole seven bags from Louis Vuitton, located at 150 Walt Whitman Road, on June 24 at approximately 5:40 p.m. The stolen bags have a combined value of $37,750.

7-Eleven Robbery

Detectives are investigating a robbery at a Huntington Station business in June. A man entered 7-Eleven, at 378 Oakwood Road, on June 18 at approximately 5 p.m. and asked for cigarettes. The man took the cigarettes without paying. An employee confronted the man outside and the suspect displayed a knife and made threats. He fled on a bike.

Theft from Commack Target

Two women stole assorted household items from Target, located at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway, at 3 p.m. on June 29. The merchandise was valued at approximately $380.
