Two East Northport businesses have turned to GoFundMe for help making the rent and meet other operational expenses.

Karp’s Hardware and Homebrew said, we have experienced substantial challenges in keeping the store operating. Rising rent and a slow winter has compounded an already difficult time of financial hardship and has led to unwanted staff layoffs and difficulties with meeting expenses such as payroll and utilities.

They have set a goal of $250,000.

James and Jillian Wagner from the Dog-Eared Bards Book Shop are hoping to raise $2,000 to renew the lease on their store at 250 Larkfield Road.  The store owners are hoping to renew their lease for another three years.
