Former Bank Site to Become Starbucks

Work is underway to tear down a decrepit bank building on East Jericho Turnpike and turn it into a Starbucks.

The former Sterling National Bank branch at 1229 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington,  just west of the Park Avenue intersection, will become a drive-through Starbucks.

Before it was owned by Sterling, it was an Astoria Bank branch.

The town said the Planning Board approved the project July 20, 2022.

Bohler Engineering is working on the property and has fenced it off from the adjacent service station and shopping areas.
